I turned 18 a couple of weeks ago and I can definitely say I had the best weekend of celebrations! I stayed in Hotel Indigo Newcastle with my boyfriend on the Saturday night. We stayed in the 4 feature window room, which was so luxurious. It had a kind sized bed, a mini fridge stocked with alcoholic and soft drinks, a spacious dressing area, fluffy robes and slippers and of course 4 huge windows from the floor to the ceiling with a view of the city. The room was very spacious and completely spotless. The bathroom had a large shower, soft towels and was stocked with Aveda products.
The bed was so comfy and felt huge! Also the location of the hotel is spot on as it is very central.
As it was my birthday I obviously had to pack some MOET and champagne truffles!
After checking in we went for a meal in the afternoon at Lola Jeans, which is located on Market Street. I have seen a lot of people write about Lola Jeans and also a lot of Instagram posts, so I thought I’d try it. I had the steak platter and it was really good. However, I did ask for rare but ended up with medium/well done, but it didn’t bother me too much. The decor of the restaurant was really funky and the atmosphere was fab. So overall, I enjoyed it and it is a good place to stop for lunch or an afternoon meal.
We went for cocktails in Passing Clouds, which is one of my favourite cocktail bars in Newcastle. It is located in the Bigg Market and only opened earlier this year. If you go you need to try their French Martini, it is to die for and I definitely had one too many! The decor is lovely and their is a good selection of cocktails. Definitely worth a visit!
I had a fabulous birthday weekend, I really recommend Hotel Indigo if you are fancying a classy, luxury stop over in Newcastle. The buffet breakfast in the morning was one of the best I have had in a long time. The food was top quality, no greasy bacon or sloppy scrambled eggs!
